카타르 - 이슬라믹 아트 뮤지엄 Qatar Museum of Islamic Art

카타르는 작고 돈 많은 나라다. 

그 돈으로 좁은 땅덩이에 2022년 월드컵을 대비해 여기저기 개발이 한창이다. 

이슬라믹 뮤지엄 들어가는 입구도 이렇게 공사를 하고 있었다. 

Qatar is small but freaking rich country. 

Currently the whole country is under construction with that gas money, preparing to show off for 2022 worldcup.

The car entrance of museum was also a mess due to construction.  

데미안 허스트의 전시를 하는 중이었다. 2013년 12월. 

Dec 2013. They invited Damien Hirst.

이곳은 테마 전시관처럼 해외유명 작가 초청 전시를 하고, 이슬라믹 뮤지엄이 무료인데 반해 요금을 받는다. 

나는 운동하다 화장실이 급해서 업무 종료 시간 이후에 들어가 보았다. 

카타르 가드들은 여자에게 약하다. 거기다 여자가 쉬마렵다고 정말 급하다고 하면... 들여보내 준다. 

Main museum is free, but you need to buy ticket for this place with theme, mostly foreign artists are displaying. 

I was in hurry to restroom so I asked guard to let me in. 

Qatar security guards are generally kind to women. :)

뮤지엄 전경

Museum building in night. 

카타르에서 가장 좋아하던 장소였다. 

박물관 건물 꼭대기의 저 엎어놓은 반달 모양은 히잡 쓴 아랍 여자의 눈 모양에서 모티브를 얻었다고 한다. 

길 건너편에 멀지 않은 곳에 또 다른 박물관을 현재 현대건설에서 짓고 있다. 

다 짓진 않았어도 아름다운 건축물일 것이라는 게 보인다. 

Museum was my favorite place in Qatar. 

Top of the museum building resembles Arab women's eyes wearing hijab, and that was the intention.

Another new museum across the road is under construction, a Korean company Hyundai E&C is the main contractor. It looks good already. 

대추야자가 끝없이 늘어서 있는 산책로. 

낮에는 각국의 애들이 스케이트 보드나 자전거를 타고 논다.

In the daytime, kids from Arab countries, or Indian kids are riding skate board, bicycle.

인도양의 푸른 바탕에 목조선들과 어우러져 아름답다.
